XAT EXAM 2025
XAT 2025 exam date is January 5, 2025. The registration process will start from 15th July 2024. For XAT 2025, the application window will be around three months. Interested candidates have to register at xatonline.in website. After the XAT exam in 2025, the candidates will be selected for colleges receiving marks through the GD/PI round. The GD/PI round is conducted by XLRI in February and March. Admission to other colleges that accept XAT opens May-June.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates must meet the minimum requirements to sit for XAT. The most recent XAT eligibility standards and prerequisites are listed below:
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, of at least three years, or equivalent.
- Students who are awaiting their grades or in the final year of their undergraduate studies are also eligible to take the XAT.
- The XAT final exam requirements do not require a minimum score. The candidate must have completed a graduate study program with a passing grade.
- Candidates holding a business degree (CA/CS) and working professionals are also eligible to take the exam.
XAT Registration Process 2025
The first step in admission to XLRI is the XAT registration process. The event starts in July or August every year. To register for the entrance test, aspirants have to fill the online XAT 2025 application form and pay the required fee. The XAT 2025 registration and application process is listed below:
- Log on to XAT exam official website xatonline.in
- Click on the ‘New Registration’ and enter all the relevant details
- A unique XAT ID and registration link will be shared with the candidate on the verified email ID that they had mentioned in the XAT form
- Click on the link to verify your registration through your email
- Go to XAT 2025 homepage and click to the ‘login’ button
- Enter your email ID and password to open your application form
- Fill all the mandatory details in the XAT exam 2025 application form
- Cross check all the information carefully before clicking on submit button
- Pay your XAT exam 2025 application fee of INR 2,100 through credit/debit card, UPI or net banking that you prefer.
To fill XAT application form 2025, applicants can choose four cities. The testing team in the first choice city will assign the candidate an XAT place. Candidates have been referred to the venue in the next selected city when the examination center is full in the first preferred city.
XAT Syllabus 2025
All the major topics covered in the XAT 2025 syllabus include general knowledge, quantitative ability & data interpretation, language & comprehension ability. Since there is no syllabus for a special section on decision-making, you can prepare by looking at pre-test questions and sample questions. Here are some important details about the XAT 2025 syllabus:
- Input to the decision-making portion of the XAT will come from both personal and professional sources. To make wise decisions, candidates will need to use their critical thinking, problem solving and prioritizing abilities.
- The XAT Verbal & Logical Ability section contains questions on critical thinking and analysis, vocabulary, paraphrases, cloze tests, reading comprehension, English grammar, and more.
- Topics covered in the XAT Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation section include calculus, geometry, algebra, and modern mathematics.
- Besides, the topics covered in the GK section of the XAT exam include inventions, technology, literature, politics, culture, innovations, world-economy, science, society, identity, sports, business, arts & entertainment, and more
- Candidates for Analytical Essay Writing (AEW) will be required to write a 250 word essay on one of the three available topics. Social and business topics are usually chosen for topics.
XAT Exam Pattern and Test Structure 2025
The XAT exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) that are conducted online and must be completed in 210 minutes. The XAT exam has a sectional deadline. Candidates are therefore advised to keep pace in each of the four stages in order to complete the paper within the stipulated time. XAT Preparation Tips & Strategy 2025
It takes at least six to nine months to prepare for XAT. XAT is one of the toughest MBA exams, so it takes preparation compared to its peers. Divided into four sections: General Knowledge, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, and Decision Making.
Since the cut off section is an important factor in the selection process of XLRI, Jamshedpur, it is important to consider each of the four sections of XAT equally. Therefore, divide your study time equally between these sections. Conceptual understanding of any topic should be a priority. First, you want to explore familiar and unfamiliar topics.
