History of Banaras Hindu University (BHU): Throughout history and present BHU has been tagged with different names. Some of the names BHU has received in the English language are Banaras University, Benares Hindu University, and Hindu University. Banaras Hindu University was established in 1898, by Indian Home Rule-leaguer and Theosophist, Annie Besant.
Founded by Madan Mohan Malaviya after Besant, the university consists of more than 30,000 students and has 18,000 on-campus students. Malviya considered the proposition of an enlarged university and offered an invitation to Mahatma Gandhi to formally deliver a lecture on matters between 5 to 8 February 1916. Jagadish Chandra Bose, C V Raman accompanied him and Besant. Kashi Naresh made a land donation for BHU, around 1,300 acres. The Kulgeet, the university anthem, was composed by the university professor and an eminent scientist, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar.

Courses and Fees
It provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in streams of Medicine & Health Sciences, Business & Management studies, and Engineering. BHU MBA Eligibility
Full-time courses offered include a two-year MBA and an MBA in International Business. BHU offers several types of MBA programs under special courses of study. BHU conducts its admission process for MBA entrance-based. The qualifiers of entrance exams are shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) followed by counseling. Banaras Hindu University accepts scores on CUET-UG for its UG programs. Step 1: Online BHU Admission Portal Registration Link
Applicants have to search for the official university website: bhuonline.in, to get themselves registered for the process of online counseling. Candidates have to put their NTA application number along with other details on an email ID and a password to activate the account for registration purposes.
STEP 2: Login
Candidates have to log in and fill up the application form along with uploading all relevant documents by their registered email ID and password at the time of registration. Below is the list of uploading of documents:

Step 4: Preference Entry Page

The aspirants can get registered for Banaras Hindu University counseling even before the CUET result declaration. The registration window re-opens after the declaration of the CUET result for three days, candidates must upload a scorecard within the given timeline. Category certificates must be uploaded during registration. No undertaking or affidavit is acceptable for admission under reserved categories. No change is accepted once the final fee payment is made to the application. The registration form is processed only after the submission of the preference form.
