Mumbai University Admissions

Admissions to all affiliated colleges at Mumbai University are handled online. Admission to UG and PG programs at the University of Mumbai is based on merit or scores obtained in the entrance examination. For admission to BTech/B.Pharm/B.Text, BBA LLB, B.Arch, and M.Tech programs, the university accepts CUET, MHT CET, MHT LAW CET, NATA, and GATE entrance exam scores. The university conducted its own PhD Entrance Test (PET) for admission to the PhD program, with the final selection done through a personal interview conducted by the respective department. Mumbai University UG Admission

Undergraduate courses are available at Mumbai University through the Schools of Education, Humanities, Technology, Commerce, Law, and others. The basic requirement for merit-based admissions is completion of the 12th grade from a recognized board. Furthermore, candidates are shortlisted based on merit scores in the most recent qualifying exam. Admissions to certain courses, such as BTech, BPharm, and Btext, are based on MHT CET scores. PG Admission 2024

Full-time MA, M.Com, M.Ed, MMS, MPA, MBA, MFSM, MHRDM, and other postgraduate courses are available at Mumbai University. Law, business administration, library sciences, social work, science and technology, commerce, and other subjects are among the postgraduate specializations available.

Mumbai University primarily admits students based on merit. It does, however, hold university entrance exams for MSc and MA programs. GATE scores are also considered for admission to the MFSM and M.Tech programs. Mumbai University, on the other hand, accepts MUCMET scores for the BMS-MBA program. PhD Admission

For PhD registrations and applications, Mumbai University has a separate portal. The doctorate program is available in a variety of departments, including library and information science, law, languages, philosophy, geography, computer science, commerce, education, and a variety of science subjects. To be eligible for the doctorate degree, interested students must take the PHD entrance test (PET). Admissions are based on PET scores, which are then followed by personal interviews with relevant authorities. Distance education

University of Mumbai IDOL (Mumbai University, Institute of Distance and Open Learning) is a distance education department within Mumbai University. It is the country’s seventh university to launch a traditional Distance Education Program. IDOL Mumbai University offers a variety of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Humanities, Science and Technology, Commerce and Management, Inter-disciplinary, and other fields.

Admission to all UG and PG courses (except MMS and MCA) is based on the final qualifying examination marks (Merit-based). Candidates for MMS and MCA admission must take the entrance exam administered by the respective department.

Admission

The application form for all MU IDOL programs is available on the Mumbai University official website. The application fee varies depending on the program. Candidates who wish to apply for any program must meet all of the university’s eligibility requirements. For UG courses, applicants must have a class 12 diploma with at least 50% marks, whereas for master’s programs, applicants must have a graduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks. Admissions to Ph.D. programs are based on valid qualifying marks and a university-based entrance exam, followed by a personal interview session. For reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC), there is a 5% mark reduction.
