IIT Guwahati MBA Admission 2026 Application Deadline Extended to February 16

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has extended the deadline for applications to MBA admission 2026. Candidates eligible to apply can now submit applications for admission to the full-time MBA program that is available for the summer session of 2026 until February 16, 2026, prior until 5:00 pm. The application process is done online on the official website of the institute, iitg.ac.in.

IIT Guwahati MBA Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria

• A valid CAT score
• Minimum minimum marks of 65% for Class 10 or Class 12 as well as Bachelor's degree
• At at least 60% in the quantitative ability (QA) section of CAT
• A bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized institution or university

Candidates who do not meet all of the requirements above cannot be considered in this selection procedure, regardless of their overall CAT percentage.

IIT Guwahati MBA Admission 2026: Selection Process

Stage 1: Selection of Candidates

• CAT Performance – 80% weightage
• Gender Diversity – 10% weightage
• Relevant Work Experience – 10% weightage

Gender diversity certificates are awarded to male candidates who are not male in the institute's efforts to encourage inclusion. Experience in the workplace is only considered when it has been completed following graduation from the Bachelor's program and is with an organization registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).

In the event of a tie in Stage 1 screening, candidates who have an more CAT percentage are more highly rated. If the tie continues to persist, older candidates are preferred.

Stage 2: Final Selection

Stage 2 consists of a individual interviews (PI) conducted in online mode. Candidates are assessed on their the ability to communicate, their understanding of the subject, management ability and overall fit for the MBA program.
