Established in 1981 by the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Mumbai started as a business school and is today a Deemed-to-be University (as per UGC norms) with Category I status. Its flagship management school, the School of Business Management (SBM) at Vile Parle West, Mumbai, is one of India's most sought-after private B-schools for MBA aspirants, with a legacy of over 44 years in management education.
SBM's flagship two-year, full-time MBA runs over six trimesters, alongside specialised full-time programs: MBA (Human Resource), MBA (Pharmaceutical Management), MBA (Healthcare Management), MBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Digital Transformation). Admission is through NMAT by GMAC, followed by a competency assessment and personal interview.
