An independent, public business school called the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (often referred to as IIM Trichy) is situated in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India. The IIM was established on January 4, 2011, making it the eleventh. According to NIRF, it is the fifteenth-best management school. It runs out of a campus that spans 175 acres of land and is located approximately 11 kilometers from Tiruchirappalli International Airport. For executive education, it also operates a satellite campus in Chennai. It provides full-time, executive, and doctorate business management programs.

On 172.27 acres (69.72 ha) of land along the Tiruchirappalli-Pudukkottai highway, the IIM Tiruchirappalli campus can be found.[2] The state-of-the-art complex, which cost 584 crore (US$73 million), includes Executive housing, faculty housing, a library, and recreational facilities. In the year 2012, the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli established a satellite campus in Chennai. It provides working professionals from this campus with a two-year postgraduate degree.

Admission to PGPM/MBA is based on CAT, followed by a Personal Interview. For doctoral programs, valid CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/IIMB Test or UGC-JRF scores are accepted.

The admission criteria for the IIM Trichy PGPM batch 2024–26 include the required CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates for the PI round. The final CAT cutoff is generally higher than the qualifying cutoff. The overall CAT cutoff for IIM Trichy (General Category) in 2023 is 94 percentile.
