MDI Murshidabad’s Director, Prof. Ajay K. Jain has a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur, and has post-doctoral studies from Aarhus University, Denmark and ISB Hyderabad. Before assuming the position of Director and Professor at MDIM, he worked for 22 years at MDI Gurgaon as Professor and Dean. MDIM offers a two-year, full-time, AICTE-approved PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management), which is equivalent to an MBA. The PGDM is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognizes the program as an MBA as well. The institute also has the AICTE’s approval for Fellow Programme in Management, Online PGDM and BBA. MDI Murshidabad has started accepting and reviewing applications for its PGDM 2026 batch. The candidates can apply via CAT 2025, XAT 2026, or valid GMAT. The final selection is based on several criteria: the entrance test scores, performances in the GD and interview, educational background, and some diversity criteria. MDI Murshidabad is located by the Bhagirathi River, Farakka Dam, and highly renowned religious locations Mayapur and Tarapeeth.
