Admissions

MBA Admission

Sri Balaji Society offers a two-year full-time MBA program to candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% in aggregate. Final admission to the course will be determined by the results of the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MAH-CET/ SBSET Entrance Exam, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by the Institute.

Key Notes:

• Engineers with a strong academic record and strong communication skills will be given the opportunity to specialize in the Systems Specialization, which includes SAP, Cloud Computing, and Analytics.
• Sri Balaji Entrance Screening Test (SBEST) is a university entrance exam held by Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP). The entrance exam is entirely optional. Students must take this entrance exam under the following circumstances-

• Did not take the CAT/MAT/XAT/ CMAT/ MAH-CET.
• SBEST can be used to improve the scores on the above-mentioned exams.
• There is no additional entrance exam fee.

Sri Balaji University Scholarship Types

The university mainly offers four scholarships, all of which are either based on merit, need or means. Interested students can enroll for more than scholarship, given that they apply for every scholarship separately. Name of every scholarship along with their respective eligibility criteria are given below:

1. Professor M.S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship – Representatives of the Sadhana Educational & Empowerment Foundation (students of Professor M.S. Pillai) nominate students for this scholarship. Details around Professor M.S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship are mentioned below in the table:

2. Grateful GNR Scholarship – Ward(s) of JCOs and other ranked servicemen from the Artillery regiment of Indian Army are eligible for this scholarship. Interested candidates will be required to produce a recommendation letter from their respective headquarters along with their scholarship application forms. More details regarding the scholarship programme are tabulated below:

Note: In the case of more than eight applicants, the selection of candidates will solely depend on merit.

3. Other Scholarships – Apart from free-ship schemes and complete academic fee waivers, the university offers scholarship programmes which cover up to 50% of a student’s total academic fee, adding up to a total academic fee of INR 4.80 lakh.

• Bala Sir Memorial Scholarship – Eligible students are selected by the university committee (headed by the Vice Chancellor). Moreover, ward(s) of defense personnel viz. the army, paramilitary and the police are given special preference. A total of 12 scholarships are given to eligible students.
• P. C. Shejwalkar Memorial Scholarship – Representatives of the committee organized by the Vice Chancellor nominate students 12 (three students each from four institutes) for this scholarship. Furthermore, a special preference is given to the meritorious students who come from economically backward categories.

 Selected students will pay a BSBT Fee of INR 55,000. Other highlights related to the scholarship programmes are as follows:

Step 2: Visit the scholarship webpage at the official website (https://www.sbup.edu.in/Admission/Scholarships) fill and submit the ‘Application for the Scholarship Scheme’ form with all the required details.

Step 3: On Successful submission of the scholarship form, the web page will redirect students to the final registration page and ask for the final payment
