CAT Exam :- Common Admission Test

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the most popular and competitive management entrance exams in India. It is conducted for admission to MBA and PGDM programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and many other top business schools across the country. CAT is designed to evaluate a candidate’s aptitude in quantitative ability, logical reasoning, data interpretation, and verbal skills, which are essential for success in the field of management.

Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the CAT exam with the aim of securing admission to prestigious management institutes. A good CAT score not only opens doors to IIMs but also to several reputed private and government MBA colleges in India.

What is CAT Exam?

The CAT exam is a national-level management entrance test conducted by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis. The primary purpose of the exam is to shortlist candidates for postgraduate management programs such as MBA and PGDM. CAT scores are accepted by more than 1,000 management institutes across India, making it one of the most widely recognized MBA entrance exams.

CAT assesses a candidate’s problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, reading comprehension, and decision-making abilities, which are critical for a management career.
