What is GMAT Exam?
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is an entrance test that is standardized and designed to evaluate a person's aptitude for graduate-level business courses like MBA, MiM, and other management-related courses offered in India and around the world.
The test is administered through GMAC, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and evaluates reasoning skills, analytical thinking as well as verbal abilities and skills for data analysis.
A good GMAT score can signal admission committees that the applicant has the essential skills to be successful in a rigorous business school. GMAT Exam Structure
The most current version of GMAT comprises of three sections each of which is timed equally.

GMAT Exam Eligibility
There aren't any strict academic eligibility requirements set by GMAC.
The basic requirements are:
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Candidates aged 13-17 years require parental permission.
- No work experience is required.
- The bachelor's level is required to be eligible for postgraduate studies.
- Valid passports are required for testing centers in India.
- The majority of Indian testing locations will do not accept Aadhaar PAN, Aadhaar and Driver's License as ID proof.
GMAT Exam Registration Procedure
Registration can only be done on the internet at https://www.mba.com.
How to register:
- Create an account at mba.com.
- Choose the exam type (Test Center or online).
- Choose the preferred date and time.
- Pay.
- Confirm your booking.
The registration process is open for months in advance, even up to 24 hours prior to testing (subject to availability of slots).

GMAT Score Reporting
- Official scores will be available on your mba.com account within a couple of days.
- Five score reports for free are available to universities.
- Additional reports are charged extra.

Retake Policy
- Minimum of 16 days between attempts.
- Maximum of 5 attempts over the course of a 12-month rolling period.
- Lifetime limit: 8 attempts.
What is the right time to take the GMAT?
