Admission
Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) is a renowned co-educational engineering and management college in Bangalore, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU). The institute offers a wide selection of 24 bachelor’s and master’s programs in various fields. The AIT admission process will be facilitated by two main modes in 2024: direct admission and entrance exam-based admission. Direct entry is further divided into entry and online/email entry. The institute conducts two entrance examinations for its undergraduate studies 50% of the candidates are admitted based on their performance in the Karnataka Government Common Entrance Test (CET).
Another 30% of students are admitted through a basic degree entrance exam. Admission to degree programs is primarily based on the results of the Graduate Test in Engineering (GATE) and the Karnataka Administrative Aptitude Test (KMAT). If the candidate does not appear in GATE or KMAT, the results of the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET) will be considered. Candidates are advised to check the cut-offs of top MBA entrance exams and assess the chances of getting offers from IIMs and other reputed MBA colleges.
