GMAT is a standardized test used by thousands of business schools around the world as a standard source for providing admission to graduate management programs, as the MBA (Master of Business Administration) The Graduate Management Admission Test assesses a range of skills considered necessary for success in business is business education.
The GMAT was first introduced in 1954 by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), a global association of leading business schools. Originally, the exam was designed to develop skills intended for candidates in graduate school management programs. Over the years, the GMAT has undergone numerous revisions in assessing candidates’ readiness for business school to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
GMAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The GMAT exam pattern includes topics from quantitative, verbal, integrated reasoning, and analytical writing. This detailed GMAT Exam pattern will help candidates plan their preparation. The GMAT Syllabus has four sections that cover 50 topics:

GMAT Eligibility
Before registering for the GMAT, candidates should understand the minimum GMAT eligibility criteria. The following criteria are necessary for GMAT eligibility.:
- Applicants must hold a basic educational qualification from any registered university or college.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old; if they are under 18, they must provide a no-objection certificate from their guardian.
- An applying candidate must have a valid passport to appear for the GMAT.
- Applicants can take the GMAT only five times per year and eight times in their lifetime.
- Candidates can only appear for the GMAT 16 days after the first held exam.
- Although there is no specific requirement for work experience, the world’s top business schools prefer this criterion.
