Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a prestigious educational institution situated in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. Admission

UG Admission 2024

AMU provides undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Law, and Medicine. Admission to AMU UG courses is based on admission/departmental tests administered by AMU. However, admission to several BA (Hons.), BSc. (Hons.), and BVoc. programs is based on CUET UG exam results and counseling. NEET UG scores are used in the counseling process for AMU UG medical courses. The basic admission requirement is to have completed 10+2 from a recognized board of education. The course eligibility and selection criteria are listed below:

AMU PG Admission 2024

AMU offers postgraduate programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Law, and Medicine, among other disciplines. Admission to AMU UG courses is based on admission/departmental tests administered by AMU. However, admission to PG medical courses is based on NEET PG exam results, followed by counseling. AMU Ph.D. Admission 2024

AMU also offers doctoral degrees in a variety of disciplines. Ph.D. admissions typically take place in August of each year. Admission is granted based on a written test, followed by a presentation or interview. The completed application form must be submitted to the Office of Controller of Examination, AMU, on or before the application deadline.
Note: NET/ JRF/ GATE/ CSIR/ DBT/ ICAR qualified candidates will be exempt from the Entrance Test, but they must participate in the Presentation/Interview round.

AMU Application Process 2024

Aligarh Muslim University has a common application process for all undergraduate and graduate courses. The application form can be filled out online by following the steps listed below:

  • Visit the University’s website, www.amucontrollerexams.com.
  • The candidate should then register online and provide a correct and functional email address, as the username, password, and other information will be sent to this address.
  • Candidates should only register once when applying to multiple courses.
  • After The registered candidate should log in using his or her username and password. The candidate will have access to his or her dashboard to fill out the form.

  • Candidates should carefully fill out their profile. Click the Save option. After saving the profile, the candidate needs to review and confirm the information entered.
  • After confirmation, the candidate will not be able to edit or update his or her profile. If a candidate discovers an error in his or her profile after confirmation, he or she must re-register with a different Username and Password to complete all of the entries again.

  • Candidates should complete the details of their educational qualifications by providing the name of all examinations passed, including the qualifying examination, year of passing, Examination Roll No., University/Board from which passed, and percentage/CGPA obtained.

  • Upload the important documents required for admission, along with thumb impressions and coloured photographs.

Centre for Distance Education AMU

Center for Distance Education AMU, also known as the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), is part of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).The institution provides distance learning programs at all levels, including UG, Diploma, PG, and various certificate courses. The admissions processes are merit-based. The Center for Distant and Online Education (CDOE) is especially dedicated to the education of women, particularly those from minority communities and those who are socially and economically disadvantaged. Women can benefit greatly from their programs because they are given the opportunity to study at home using self-learning study materials.

CDOE offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses. Diplomas are available for specializations such as Communicative Skills in English, Foreign Languages, Tourism, Finance, and Disaster Management. Centre for Distance Education AMU Aligarh Admission

All admissions are based on merit, and there is no need to secure a ranking at the entrance. Application processes are done both offline and online. 

Application Process                      

  1. 1. The application form is available both online and offline. Application fees for all courses are set at INR 300.
    2. To apply online, complete the form and upload scanned documents. For offline admission, two copies of the documents and seven passport-size photographs must be submitted along with the application form.
    3. Selection is based on the applicant’s previous qualifying exam results.

Centre for Distance Education AMU Aligarh Placements

There is a dedicated training and placement cell for CDOE students enrolled in distance learning courses. Students are well-prepared for placements, and many MNCs such as HCL, Wipro, Asian Paints, and others pay annual visits. However, no particular recruitment drive is conducted here.
