The International Management Institute was established in 1981 with its original campus in New Delhi and was the country’s first business school sponsored by a corporation. Corporate sponsors for the event included ITC, Nestle, Tata Chemicals, British Oxygen, SAIL, and Williamson Magor in addition to RPG Enterprises (the primary sponsor). It was established in cooperation with the then-IMI Geneva, which is now the IMD Lausanne. Two further campuses were subsequently established one each in Kolkata (2010) and Bhubaneswar (2011).

FPM (Fellow Program In Management)
The International Management Institute New Delhi’s PhD program is called the Fellow Program in Management. Admission
Educational Background
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university in India or abroad (accredited by the UGC/Association of Indian Universities), with a minimum of 50% overall or the equivalent in any discipline, including engineering, humanities, commerce, economics, medicine, or any other branch of education.
The candidate must have completed a minimum of three years of post-higher secondary education by the 10+2 system or an equivalent to earn a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent certificate.
Candidates who are in their last year of a bachelor’s degree program or an equivalent program may also apply if they can show documentation proving they meet the requirements. Candidates who are unable to meet this condition risk having their applications denied for the program.
Graduates from any field of study, whether they have any prior work experience or not, are eligible to apply.

Admission Process
The PGDM courses of The International Management Institute are now accepting applications. The university admits students to its PGDM, PGDM in Human Resources, Banking & Finance Services, and PGDM Executive programs. The results of the CAT/XAT will be used to determine admission to the courses. Interview calls will be made for the shortlisted candidates. Any subject with a graduation degree qualifies for enrollment in the course.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant for admission to The International Management Institute must possess a minimum of a three-year bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum grade point average (CGPA) of 50%.
- Candidates who have completed the requirements for a degree and are awaiting results or those who are taking the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification exams are also eligible to apply to the MBA program at the International Management Institute (IMI Delhi).
- The applicant must also have passed the minimum sectional and total cutoffs for the CAT 2021, XAT, and GMAT exams stipulated by IMI Delhi.
- Foreign applicants must meet the GMAT cutoffs (with scores no older than three years) to be considered for admission.
Selection Process:
The International Management Institute offers admission to PGDM programs based on meeting the requirements listed below:
Shortlisting Criteria: Shortlisted candidates are chosen based on their CAT/XAT scores. Candidates with appropriate work experience will receive preference.
Selection Criteria: Final selection is based on academic performance, which includes grades in classes 10 and 12 and graduation. performance on a psychometric test, essay writing, extempore speaking, and personal interview.
Interview Centers: Bhopal, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai.
FPM Admission 2024
Various PhD programs in FPM are available at The International Management Institute. The selection criteria for IMI Delhi will be based on a legitimate CAT score. Candidates who do not have valid CAT scores must take the IMI Internal Test, which is administered by the International Management Institute (IMI Delhi). The candidates will be invited in for a personal interview, which will serve as the basis for finalizing admission, after taking into account the test results, academic performance, and job experience. Students can apply for this program with a master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 55% and a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 60% and appropriate job experience.
FPM Eligibility
- A master’s degree holder who passed the qualifying exam with a 55% score.
- Engineering bachelor’s degree with 60% overall and work experience
- CA, ICWA, or CS qualified with an overall grade point average of 55%.
- At the time of admission, candidates with relevant job experience will be given precedence.
FPM Selection Criteria
NETJRF-approved applicants will be exempt from the entrance examination and will be directly called for the next step in the admissions process, with the selection being based on the marks obtained in the CAT/ IMI Test Score + Personal Interview.

The online application form must be filled out in full and submitted along with the non-refundable application fee and all other supporting documentation.
For those interested in enrolling in one of the two-year programs offered by the International Management Institute (IMI Delhi), IMI New Delhi IMI Kolkata, or IMI Bhubaneswar, the application processing fee is Rs. 2200 + GST @18%.
Additionally, if the individual wishes to apply for another program(s) at the International Management Institute (IMI Delhi), they must pay Rs. 500 for each program.
Cut-Off
Based on the results of the CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, and GMAT admission exams, the International Management Institute (IMI Delhi) provides a 2-year PGDM course in HRM and Banking & Financial service. For admission to the PGDM program, applicants needed to score at least an 80 on the CAT entrance exam, and for the PGD-HRM and PGDM Banking & Financial Service programs, they needed to score at least an 85.
